She finds beauty ingrate skies, approaching storms, and dying golden grasses. For her peeling paint, rusting metal and rotting piers all tell a compelling of the past, the forever changing landscapes story.
She's worked in the medium of encaustic since 2002. She often embeds book pages, charts, and found objects. Encaustic allows her to scrape back to expose layers and scaling and scratching help to tell her story.
