Wanda Scholze

Wanda Scholze is a Kodiak-based artist who has called the island home since 1988. What began as a plan to stay for a couple of years quickly turned into a lifelong connection. She has explored a wide range of creative pursuits over the years, including woodworking, ceramics, encaustic, watercolor, and mixed media with found objects. Her work reflects a curiosity for materials and a deep appreciation for the natural environment. When she is not creating, she enjoys gardening, hiking Kodiak’s trails, reading, and volunteering at Kodiak Harvest Food Co-op.
