Bethany Knagin

My name is Bethany Knagin, and I am a local Alaskan native artist deeply inspired by anything related to water. Coming from a large fishing family, I have recently started painting and documenting my creative process. It's been a journey filled with trial and error, but ultimately, it's been incredibly rewarding. Kodiak is a truly unique place, offering breathtaking views at every turn. The natural beauty around me and the vibrant fishing culture of Kodiak fuel my creativity. I also take on commission work for local fishermen, often creating boat portraits. Additionally, I’ve painted names on many boats throughout Kodiak and participated in events like the Chocolate Lovers Fling auction. My charming hometown, with its bustling fishing industry and picturesque landscapes, continues to inspire me every day.
