Raised in the vast, open landscapes of Kansas and now based in the coastal landscapes of Kodiak, Alaska; my work is shaped by the environments I inhabit. Where the act of seeing becomes a means of exploring my environment and community. Whether shooting in digital or film, I operate within the traditions of landscape and documentary photography, driven by a desire to experience and connect with the world around me.

With a background in journalism, I approach photography not only as an artistic endeavor but as a form of visual reportage. My aim is to produce photographs which represent the world as it truly is. Framed not through dramatic composition, but through the act of observation.
