Jessica Ottis

I am a fiber artist and poet. My work is rooted in presence, quiet faith, and motherhood. Through handwoven tapestry and original poetry, I explore the beauty and weight of daily life- what holds us steady, what stretches, and what stays.

Working primarily with reclaimed yarn pulled directly from thrifted sweaters, I weave intuitively, often in quick, attentive bursts. My materials carry their own histories- bent and softened by use- and I allow those textures to remain. Each piece is paired with a poem that emerges alongside the weaving, offering a second voice that deepens the emotional landscape.

My work is not about perfection or resolution. It honors what is mended, what is endured, and the quiet strength found at the edges of unraveling.
